Executive

Oversees the administration of Council. This committee is comprised of mandated members and chairs from other Council Committees.

NEW TIME: Executive Committee will meet following RGM on the THIRD Tuesday of even months.

2024 Member Survey

Family Advisory

Our Family Advisory Committee meets as needed— generally to plan an event or volunteer opportunity, to provide feedback on Council work or receive updates. Family members also serve on and chair committees.

This committee meets monthly.

Our Family Advisory Committee is pleased to also serve as Family Advisory for the Lyric Theater. The Lyric is an independent theater in downtown Wooster that offers sensory films sponsored by the Ohio Arts Council and in partnership with KultureCity.

They offer a film twice a month with low lights, lower volume, closed caption and welcoming staff! Tickets are just 3$. Outside food is allowed for those with food sensitivity, concessions are also available.

Antibullying Events- October 6

A message from Renee Jackwood, Chair of Family Advisory Committee: “We reached 1543 middle schoolers and 64 adults with a message of resiliency.  Without a doubt, there was at least one child (and many more) that was pulled back from despair and for that – I count it as a success.  Thank you to all of you for the effort and work that you put in to make it happen without a hitch! “

Planning

Identifies gaps in services, target populations, recommends outcome measures and develops the Shared Plan.

Resource & Grants

Receives, screens and reviews grant requests; monitors contracted services, provides reports to Council on grant compliance and service outcomes.

Wayne Early Childhood Coalition

Coordinates a continuum of services to meet the social, medical, educational and mental health needs of parents of children prenatal to five in Wayne County. It identifies gaps, overlap and duplication of services and serves as advisory committee to Home Visiting and Head Start Health program.

Free OCCRRA Contact Hours and Social Work CEUs, and a light breakfast sponsored by AmeriHealth Caritas will be available.

Meets to focus the core message and advocacy activities of Council so we have the greatest impact for families and children.
